ONE PAYMENT TO YOUR BUSINESS
One team payment
Simply Maid pays the full job amount and tips to your team’s nominated bank account. You pay your cleaners under your own arrangement.
- Only the payment recipient gives us an ABN and bank details.
- Team members still complete their own identity and skills checks.
- One agreed business rate per allocated cleaner-hour; individual tiers do not change this rate.
- The manager sees the full team pay before accepting.

Separate cleaner payments
Simply Maid pays each cleaner their allocated share. Each person supplies their own ABN and bank details.
- Each cleaner’s own agreed rate applies, including their individual tier.
- Cleaners see their own payment amount.
- The acceptance panel shows how the team pay is split.
- Job notifications reflect the payment arrangement.
Want to change later? The team owner can propose a new payment setup in the app. Everyone must agree, and already accepted jobs keep their agreed payment terms.

Manage the team, choose who has manager access, update the team bank details and propose payment changes. You can also attend jobs yourself once approved to clean.

Invite cleaners, choose crews, accept jobs and follow up on customer feedback. Managers can see team earnings, so give this role to someone you trust.
Their own login
View team jobs, record their own arrival and help complete the jobs they attend. They do not accept work for the team or see the business’s earnings unless given manager access.

Invite your cleaners
Send invitations from your cleaner app. See who has joined, who is still completing their details and who is waiting for review.
We check each person
Each cleaner completes identity, experience, service skills and online orientation checks. Simply Maid reviews and approves them before they attend jobs.
Choose a crew and accept
You or a manager picks approved cleaners and equipment for each job. Check the job details, expected duration and payment before accepting.
How do job pay and cleaning time work?
Pay is based on allocated cleaner-hours. Four cleaner-hours is about four hours for one cleaner or two hours each for two cleaners. More cleaners changes the expected duration, not the amount of cleaning purchased. Your business rate is approved by Simply Maid and reviewed against team quality; a manager does not move up individual cleaner tiers by pooling everyone’s jobs.
Can different cleaners share equipment and work at the same time?
Yes. Your business can provide shared kits and machines. Each job needs an approved crew with the right experience and available equipment. The same cleaner or equipment cannot cover overlapping jobs. Only accept work your team can fulfil.
What about jobs from my other customers?
You keep managing those commitments. Simply Maid checks the bookings and time off recorded in our app. Before accepting, confirm your chosen cleaners are also free from work booked elsewhere.
The payment recipient supplies the ABN and bank details for their payment. Every cleaner still completes their own identity and service checks. Already accepted jobs keep their agreed payment terms.

Good to know before you apply
- It’s contractor work, not a salaried job. You read the provider agreement before you commit.
- Hours aren’t guaranteed. Work depends on bookings near you, your availability and your travel range.
- You cover your own kit, products, fuel, tolls and parking, and your tax.
- Your record matters. Reliability, punctuality and customer ratings decide your tier and your rate.
House cleaning experience
At least one year of professional experience, with your own clients or an agency.
A reliable car and your own kit
Jobs are spread across the city and you bring the vacuum, mop, cloths and products. In a team, your business or attending partner can supply the kit.
An ABN for each payment recipient
For one team payment, only the business payee supplies an ABN. Separately paid cleaners supply their own.
Your own verified photo ID
You verify your identity online with government photo ID and a selfie. Every attending cleaner completes their own identity and job-type checks before approval.
Clear communication
Be able to read job instructions in English and understand what customers need.
An Australian bank account
The business payee adds the team account, or separately paid cleaners add their own account.

Can I join on my own?
Yes. You do not need a team. Apply as a solo cleaner, complete your checks and set your availability and travel range. See your own pay before taking a job. You can stay solo or invite a teammate later if you choose.
Can I apply with another cleaner?
Yes. Solo cleaners, pairs and cleaning businesses of 20+ people are welcome (up to 50 in one business). You can invite team members during onboarding; each person completes their required checks.
Do I need experience?
Yes, at least a year of cleaning homes professionally, for your own clients or an agency. If you’re new to cleaning, our guide to becoming a house cleaner explains how to build that experience first.
Am I paid hourly or per job?
You are paid per job. The starting base rate is $45 per allocated cleaning hour. The job payment uses the cleaning time allocated to you and your agreed rate. Check the payment details in the app; it is not an open-ended hourly wage.
When do I get paid? Is it cash in hand?
Weekly, never cash. Each pay week runs Monday to Sunday and is paid to your Australian bank account the following Thursday. There's no fee on the bank transfer, and your earnings and payouts show in the app.
How are jobs offered?
Jobs come to you in the app within the days, hours and travel range you set. Until you’ve built a track record, you accept each job before it’s confirmed, with 1 to 4 hours to answer depending on how soon the job is. Office and commercial jobs go to every suitable cleaner at once, and the first to accept gets the job.
What if a job changes or something goes wrong?
Contact support from the app (9 am–5 pm, Mon–Sat), and use “Something’s wrong” during a job. If a customer cancels at the last minute, you’re paid $40. If you can’t get in after waiting 20 minutes, you’re paid $40 once we’ve checked the visit.
Is there enough work in my city?
It depends on bookings near you, the hours you set and how far you’ll travel. We’re taking applications in all seven cities, but we never guarantee hours; each city page says what we know about local work.
Is this an employee role?
This is an independent contractor opportunity. You cover your business costs and tax, and review the provider agreement during onboarding. Available hours and earnings depend on local bookings.
How soon can I start?
Start your application today with your mobile and email. Approval is automatic once every check is complete, unless we need to ask you something. Your first job then depends on your availability and bookings in your area.
Can I finish applying later?
Yes. Once your account is verified, completed onboarding steps are saved. Finish and continue from your current step before leaving, then sign in with the same account to return.
